Objectives: Early marriage is a widespread issue that can lead to many problems in biological, psychological and social areas of women’s lives. It can also mean the person’s exposure to factors that can lead to multiple and chronic trauma such as involving sexual intercourse, childbirth, parental involvement, and probable physical and emotional abuse exposure by partner and his family members, as well as early separation from family and friends, before completing mental and physical development. Nevertheless, research on early marriages is more focused in social and gynecological areas, and studies of psychiatric outcomes are very limited.
